Santa’s Back in Narnia, by Lauren

We caught sight of Father Christmas giving presents to three children in Narnia, near the beavers’ dam last night.

Happy to be back!

Santa was so happy to get into Narnia because he has not been here for a long time. He said, “She has kept me out for a long time but I have got in at last.”

Santa wore a red and white hat. He took his reindeer with him wherever he went.

Santa gave presents to all three children. Peter got a shield and sword. Father Christmas gave Lucy a small dagger and a little bottle. Susan got a bow and quiver and an ivory horn.

Father Christmas has not been in Narnia but the White Witch’s spell is weakening. Mr and Mrs Beaver had not seen him for a long time.

They were so happy to see him and receive a tea set from him.

Father Christmas called Peter a Son of Adam and Lucy and Susan Daughters of Eve, though they did not really know why.

Santa in Narnia, by James

Father Christmas was seen giving out presents last night near the beavers’ dam last night.

Santa arrived in Narnia near the beavers’ dam and Mr and Mrs. Beaver thought it was the White Witch. Santa said, “She has kept me out for a long time, but I have got in at last.”

Santa was wearing bright red robes, a great white beard and a glad smile.

Giving out presents

He was seen giving out presents to three children. One, the eldest, a boy named Peter, got a sword and shield. A girl named Lucy got a dagger and a bottle. The one named Susan got a bow and arrows and an ivory horn. Santa called them the Son of Adam and daughters of Eve, but they did not know what he was talking about.

Santa said, “Long live the true king and merry Christmas.”

Santa in Narnia!, by Himani

Yesterday evening, Santa was seen giving out presents in the woods.

Santa has not been seen in Narnia for several years, but we spotted him. He came in a sleigh drawn by reindeer with soft, furry coats.  He came out of his sleigh and said, “She has kept me out for a long time, but I have got in at last!”

Santa was wearing a bright red robe and on his cheerful face he had a great white beard. He was ‘so big, so glad and so real,’ said Mrs Beaver who witnessed his arrival.

Santa gave presents to two girls and one boy. The girls were Susan and Lucy. Lucy got a small dagger and a bottle with special juice inside. Susan received an ivory horn and a bow with aquiver full of arrows. The boy, named Peter, got a sword with a shield to go with it.

True Kings and Queens of Narnia

The daughters of Eve, Susan and Lucy, are the true queens of Cair Paravel. The son of Adam, Peter is the true king. We do not know where the fourth king, Edmund, is at the moment, but we know he was captured by the White Witch.

Santa knew the children were the true kings and queens, as he said, “Merry Christmas! Long live the true kings and queens!”

White Witch’s Spell Is Weakening! by Dawood

Father Christmas was seen giving out presents near a beaver’s dam last night.

Father Christmas was heard to say, “she has kept me out for a long time but I have got in at last.”

He was wearing a bright red robe and a great white beard. He was jolly and he was so big and so glad and so red.

Presents

Father Christmas was seen giving out presents to three children. First to the tallest, Peter, a sword and shield. Then to Susan a bow and quiver and an ivory horn. Finally to Lucy he gave a little bottle and a small dagger.

The children did not understand when Father Christmas called them a Son of Adam and Daughters of Eve.

After Father Christmas gave out his presents he rushed off on his sleigh drawn by eight reindeer, saying, “Merry Christmas! Long live the true kings and queens of Narnia.

Story in response to a given first paragraph,  by Himani

Katie was playing on her computer. Her mum had told her to turn it off because it was nearly bedtime, but Katie was so busy concentrating on the game that she didn’t hear. Katie was on the last level of her favourite game and she was just about to kill the evil wizard Mag so that she could move on to the next level.

The screen flickered… it flickered again, and it started flashing strange colours. Suddenly, Katie was sucked into her computer screen.

When she awoke, she found herself in the wizard’s chambers. SHE WAS ACTUALLY INSIDE THE GAME!

Mag had green skin and a massive blister on his foot that looked awful. She collected all the swords and bombs she couold find to kill him. While Katie was running through the mazes, Mag was cooking up a spell to make Katie as small as a mouse. He would throw the potion at her when she got to him. As Katie got closer and closer, the more terrified she got. She wanted to scream and eventually, “Argh!” Suddenly she reached the cruel crook Mag and saw the potion coming her way, splat! It went directly onto her forehead. She felt herself shrinking down to a mouse’s size.

“Mag, what have you done to me, you daft rat?” cried Katie. She immediately started to through bombs at him, but nothing seemed to do the trick. Katie heard a pop from the air and a little fairy came down and said, “I will help you to defeat Mag.” So the fairy cast a spell and it went like this: “Abba labba, vary many Mag.” But the spell was not strong enough to get rid of Mag., so she tried again but this time she whispered to Katie, “You throw a bomb at Mag and I’ll cast a spell.” As Katie threw her bomb, the fairy cast her spell. Suddenly, Mag shouted, “ohh ahh, what have you done…”  He could not finish his sentence because he had vanished into thin air.

“Yes!” screamed Katie.

“Now I had better get you back to your normal size,” said the fairy, so she cast a spell and in a flash Katie was back to her normal size.

“Oh, thanks! I couldn’t have done it without you,” said Katie. “By the way, what’s your name?”

“I’m Louiseanna.”

“What a lovely name!” exclaimed Katie. “Can I go home now?”

“Yes, sure,” said Louiseanna. In a flash, Katie was back home next to her computer.

“Mum! Mum!” cried Katie. “I was in the computer.”

“Stop talking nonsense, Katie,” snapped her mother.

“Oh Mum, it’s all true. You’ll regret it some day.”

Katie thought to herself, what is happening? She said, “Mum, help! Help!”

Her mum thought to herself, what is that noise. She looked all around the house to find Katie. “Over here!” shouted Katie, banging on the glass of the computer. Her mum said, “Is that a burglar?”

Katie found out that she was in the wizard’s chamber. She thought to herself, oh no! What am I going to do? The wizard came out and said to Katie, “If you want to get out, you have to answer a question. What is 10x12? Katie’s mind went blank. “Is it 100?”

“No, it isn’t, but you are close.”

“115?”

“No, a bit more.”

“199?”

“No, not that much.”

“120?”

“Yes, you’re right. Quick, out before I change my mind.

Katie went zooming out, then Mum came up and said, “Where have you been?”

“Oh, it’s a long story.”

“Base to Captain Skyfighter, base to Captain Skyfighter. Come in Captain Skyfighter.”

“Captain Skyfighter. Come in Captain Skyfighter. Where  are you?”

“Captain Skyfighter? This is an urgent message. We are tracking an unidentified flying object and it’s heading for you. You need to leave immediately.Hurry!”

In his spacecraft, Captain Skyfighter is fast asleep, unaware of what is fast approaching his ship. He had been so bored that he had fallen asleep and missed the message. Suddenly, Captain Whirligig’s voice crackled and woke him up. There was someone on his ship. There was a shadow near a spaceship which had crashed on his ship. It turned out to be Shadow, the hedgehog. He was looking for three things. First, his creator, Doctor Garnfield. Second, the seven chaos emeralds and third, Sonic the hedgehog, his twin brother.

Soon he realised that he had made a mistake coming here, so he said his goodbye. Suddenly, oh, no! “Darn it! My ship’s controls have been broken! How am I going to travel home, now?” Then Captain Skyfighter realised something. “Aha! In my special drawer there is a spare part. This even helps when the ship’s controls are busted!” And then he put the spare part in Shadow’s ship and said, “Farewell, then.”

After that, guess what he did? He went back to sleep again. But then, he was only dreaming!

Creative writing: ‘The Pink Castle’, by Mariam

One day I was horse-riding to the valley of No-where when I saw a massive, pink castle. It had towers, a glittery, purple flag and glowing windows. I heard a tiny barking sound – it was an adorable little puppy! I smelled a perfume-like smell – it was roses in a flower vase. The weather outside the castle was lovely. There was now a blue sky.

Soon I met a princess. She had blonde, curly hair, a golden crown, high-heeled shoes and a pink dress. “It is an honour to meet you,” I said. The puppy came wagging its tail. “Her name is Daffodil,” said the princess, “and my name is Valentina.” Great name, I thought.

“I can ride a pony,” I said.

“You could always visit, couldn’t you?”

“Oh yes,” I said. “Oh, wait, Valentina. I gotta go home.”

“OK, you will visit anytime you want, isn’t that right? Lovely!”
