The structure of our modern foreign languages curriculum is designed to give children the necessary tools and knowledge for future study.
Although the children do complete some written activities, our main emphasis is on the recognision, recal and remembering of vocabulary and sentence structure through practical engagement.
Children partake in many language games, dialogues with each other and drama sessions during lessons.
These lessions are effective in their teaching of key skills, but we also aim to foster the children’s enjoyment of the subject, raising the profile of languages within School and encouraging many to progress further in their study of languages once they have left St Winifred's School.
